Perform these arrangements using the Audio Stems
Using any Digital Audio Workstation of your choosing.
Your musicians can perform an arrangement along with the available Stem Audio Tracks! There are many uses for the Stem Audio Tracks in the live performance of an arrangement. For example, a live singer(s) can be the solo performer instead of the trombone. (Lyrics are included in the solo part of each arrangement.)
Another use for the Stem Audio Tracks is to add the recorded string section audio to your live ensemble, and by feeding the stereo string stem to the P.A. system while feeding the click track to the drummer and/or conductor, the performance timing will stay locked together. Also, an improvised solo recorded in an instruments stem track could be turned off or on at any time to accommodate live soloists, or any track could be muted throughout when a live musician is available to play a particular part of the arrangement.
The download of stem tracks for each song is in the Protools session format. The included audio tracks can easily be used in any other digital audio workstation. (The Protools sessions include song position markers that match the rehearsal letters in the arrangement, and also include tempo information.)
Stems include isolated stereo tracks for: Piano, Bass, Drums, Click, Full Mix (with trombone), and where applicable Guitar, String Section, and Choir. Each audio file track has its own effects embedded (i.e. reverb), and when faders are set to zero they will level match with the final mix of the album. Stem audio purchases are likely made with the purchase of the PDF arrangement. Crown Him With Many Crowns
A favorite hymn arranged with a medium, even-eighths feel in the key of Eb. The guitar plays the melody the 1st time, and the solo instrument/vocalist performs melody the 2nd time. (Solo instrument/vocalist can perform the melody both times if desired.) There is an improvised solo section written for the guitar (or any desired instrument). After the solo section the arrangement modulates up a half step into the key of E.

Praise God, From Whom All Blessings Fall
Written with a medium “loose triplety” swing feel in the key of F. For solo instrument or vocalist, jazz trio (piano, bass, drum set) plus choir (SATB where B is mostly in the baritone range). The beautiful and dense jazz harmonies for the choir are at an advanced level. There are a few meter changes during the melody sections. The solo instrument/vocalist performs the melody the 1st time with the choir singing background “Ahs”. Second time the choir sings the melody with the lyrics while the soloist can ad lib fills. There are short solo sections for the solo instrument/vocalist, and for the piano.

Holy, Holy, Holy
This joyful hymn is arranged as a jazz ballad in the key of Ab. For solo instrument or vocalist, jazz trio), string section, and choir (SATB where B is mostly in the baritone range). There is an improvised solo section for the solo instrument, after which there is a modulation to the key of A, when the choir enters for the final triumphant verse, singing background “Oohs”. The choir parts are moderately easy, but jazz voicings require accurate intonation.

This classic by Duke Ellington is written as a medium, easy swing in the key of Eb. The string section plays swing eighth-note figures throughout, however the parts are fairly easy to play. There are improvised solo sections for the solo instrument/vocalist and the piano. After the piano solo, the song modulation to the key of E for the last verse.

Originally a hymn written in 6/8 meter, this arrangement is a 4/4 medium swing beginning in the key of Bb. The string section plays swing eighth-note figures throughout. The arrangement modulates into the key of B for the improvised solo section for piano (any instrument can be substituted). The piece modulates again into the key of C for the final melody section. Uplifting and fun to play.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus
A medium jazz waltz in the key of Bb. This arrangement features bouncy and creative intro/interludes. Written with an improvised solo section for guitar and the solo instrument (if vocalist is substituted for a solo instrument, any instrument can play the solos), after the solo section, the piano takes over the melody up until the last bridge, where the solo instrument/vocalist re-enters with the melody and then may improvise fills over the coda.

This arrangement changes back and forth from a 12/8 Afro-Cuban feel to a medium-swing feel in the key of Bb. This is a good, easy Opener for any concert.

This is composed by Ron Harris who claims that this is his favorite arrangement of this beloved, hit song. An exuberant, medium-fast jazz waltz in the key of F. The strings and rhythm section play the intro before the Soloist plays or sings the melody. There is an improvised solo section for the piano, one for the solo instrument and one for the bass (although these can be substituted for any instruments). The soloist may improvise fills over the ending tag.

Written as a slow gospel, the song begins in the key of Db. The choir is (SATB where B is mostly in the baritone range). After the soloist performs the melody, there is an improvised solo section for a solo instrument, and for piano (although these can be substituted for any instrument). After the solos, the song modulates to the key of D where the choir joins the entire ensemble singing background “Ahs” for a big finish as the soloist improvises fills over top. The choir and orchestra parts are easy to learn, and this treasured hymn is an excellent closer to any performance.
